Daniel Maggi

grew up in Hauptwil. He was already enthusiastic about drums as a child, so he got his first lessons on military-drum at the age of eight. At the age of 12, he switched to the drums, joined the Brass Band Hauptwil and attended drumming and percussion lessons with Adrian Schilling in the following years.

After completing his apprenticeship as a polymechanic, he attended drum recruit school at the swiss military music, earned his NCO degree and learned the basics of conducting. After graduating from NCO school, he decided to turn his passion into a profession and studied at the Zurich University of the Arts with Horst Hofmann. Among other things, he attended master classes with Raphael Christen and Rainer Seegers (Berlin Philharmonic) during his studies.

Daniel Maggi has played in various orchestras as an additional member and has already supported over 40 formations.
