David Semperes

Percussionist and drummer, David began with the drums in 1996 at the Lagnieu music school in Ain. In 1997, he moved to the region of Blaye in Gironde and began percussion. To improve his skills in his instruments, in 2004 he joined the conservatory with regional influence in Tours with, in parallel, a timetabled course arranged for his studies. He obtained his DEM Diploma in Musical Studies in 2009 and his Perfection Prize in 2011.

From 2009 to 2013, David was able to start teaching his instruments in various associative music schools in Indre et Loire and at the Conservatoire Intercommunal des Portes de l'Essonne. This is why in 2011, he wanted to improve his pedagogy and joined the Center for Higher Education in Music and Dance in Poitiers. He obtained his State Diploma of Territorial Assistant for Artistic Teaching of Classical Percussion in 2013.

In September 2013, he moved to Savoie in the Maurienne valley to begin his teaching at 2 music schools and a conservatory. He is currently a percussion and drums teacher at the Maurienne Artistic Education Establishment.

Before his studies at the conservatory of Tours, he always kept a strong attachment to harmony music and percussion ensembles. From 1997 to 2013, he was part of the harmony of Cars and Blaye. From 2005 to 2009, he joined the Berlioz orchestra of the Regional Conservatory of Tours. From 2010 to 2011, he participated in the Brass Band Exobrass. Since his arrival in 2013 in Savoie, he has joined the collective of percussionists of the Lyre Mauriennaise harmony. His attachment to harmony music led him to focus on conducting orchestral training and since September 2022, he has become deputy director of the Mauriennaise lyre. His attachment for percussion ensembles is still present thanks to his several ensembles developed since his arrival in Savoie.
